NHSA Awards

The National Head Start Association also has awards and scholarships opportunities, a few of which mirror IHSA’s:

  • Ron Herndon Head Start Parent Scholarship

  • Sargent Shriver Excellence in Community Service Award

  • Alumni Scholarship Award

The IHSA Board will select one nominee per award from the IHSA awardees and make the nomination to the Region XHSA Board, who will then decide upon the final nominee to present to NHSA out of all nominations made to the RXHSA Board(Idaho, Alaska, Washington, Oregon).

Nominations are due to NHSA by November 1. The IHSA Board will review and make a nomination to the RXHSA Board by October 1.
